Birthdays and blog tours!
Happy birthday Ava! Three today.

This is a double whammy of a day for me. The Sweet Shawlettes blog tour kicks off with Wendy Knits - the start of a month of reviews, Q&As, podcasts and giveaways... very exciting! Wendy picked Kitty as her absolute favourite, let me know which one is yours.
Here's a quote from her review:
This is Sweet Shawlettes by Jean Moss, a collection of 25 patterns for shawlettes, cowls, and other related types of knits. I received a review copy of this book a couple of weeks ago and pronounce it delightful!
It's been great answering the questions about making the book and I hope you'll get in touch sometime if you have any that aren't covered. I just love how the blog tour has the potential to connect with so many knitters, a universal forum where authors and readers can chew the cud.
In the past I've done many physical book tours - I enjoyed them immensely and would never wish the blog tour to replace them. Meeting other knitters is the absolute icing on the cake, but the two are completely different animals and I'm sure there's room for both.
Wendy will be handing over to Shannon Okey at Knitgrrl tomorrow. It's always a bit of a cliffhanger waiting to see how a book is received, but fingers crossed, so far so good!

My birthday was yesterday, so very close . . .
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to see who shares your birthday? I share mine with the late Beatle, George Harrison and I always loved that connection. I still silently say happy birthday to him when I wake up on my birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Ava. She's a sweetheart.
